Meliora Bio is a modern biorefinery that upcycles biomass such as straw from local farmers to new and innovative products. The refinery in Kalundborg uses minimal energy and water and reduces production waste to zero when making bioethanol, prebiotics, and lignin. The Meliora Bio second-generation bioethanol is made from raw materials such as corn and sugarcane, resulting in lower CO2 displacement compared to normal ethanol.
